چکیده
The knowledge of the electrochemical processes inside a Fuel Cell (FC) is useful for improving FC diagnostics, and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) one most used techniques characterization. This paper aims to propose identification Fractional-Order Transfer Function (FOTF) able represent behavior in set working points. model was identified by using data-driven approach. Experimental data were obtained testing Proton Exchange Membrane (PEMFC) measure cell impedance. A genetic algorithm firstly determine sets fractional-order impedance parameters that best fit input each analyzed point. Then, method proposed select single parameters, which can system all considered conditions. comparison with an equivalent circuit taken from literature reported, showing advantages

Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy for Microbial Fuel Cell Characterization
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is an efficient, non-intrusive and semi-quantitative technique to characterize the performance of bio-electrochemical systems such as microbial fuel cells and enzymatic fuel cells. Indeed, quantitative interpretation of the impedance data can be obtained with the help of mechanistic models using meaningful equivalent circuits. The production of maximum pow...

متن کاملMonitoring early zeolite formation via in situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
Hitherto zeolite formation has not been fully understood. Although electrochemical impedance spectroscopy has proven to be a versatile tool for characterizing ionic solutions, it was never used for monitoring zeolite growth. We show here that EIS can quantitatively monitor zeolite formation, especially during crucial early steps where other methods fall short.
متن کاملEquivalent Electrical Circuit Modeling of Ceramic-Based Microbial Fuel Cells Using the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) Analysis
The effect of the thickness of ceramic membrane on the productivity of microbial fuel cells (MFCs) was investigated with respect to the electricity generation and domestic wastewater treatment efficiencies. The thickest ceramic membrane (9 mm) gained the highest coulombic efficiency (27.58±4.2 %), voltage (681.15±33.1 mV), and current and power densities (447.11±21.37 mA/m2, 63.82±10.42 mW/m2) ...
متن کاملLocal electrochemical impedance spectroscopy: Considerations about the cell geometry
Local electrochemical impedance spectroscopy provides a powerful tool for the investigation of surface heterogeneities on electrode surfaces. However, measurements are greatly influenced by geometry-induced frequency dispersion. In order to account for this frequency dispersion, both simulations and experiments were performed to explore the influence of a recessed electrode on the local and glo...
